There are several Ministers of God from all faith groups who remain in spiritual blindness from the promise of salvation. Their blindness derives from Isaiah’s prophecy of spiritual blindness and deafness in the people of Israel and unconverted heart until the appointed time. (Isaiah 6:8-10; Romans 11:25; 9:18).
However, God also promises that all “Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation”: (Isaiah 45:17; Romans 11:26-27). “It is [therefore] good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD”. Consider that “the Lord is not slow to fulfil His promise… but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”. (Lamentations 3:26; 2 Peter 3:9 &15).
Brethren, you can only inherit God’s promises of “everlasting salvation” through the spirit of patience waiting for the hope of righteousness by faith which God has by His Love worked in Jesus Christ; and showing the same diligence in full assurance of hope unto the end. (Hebrew 6 :11; Galatians 5:5-6).
To be saved, you need to receive the GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST and be “born again” of the Spirit of God by believing in your heart by faith that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess with your mouth that He is Lord. (John 1:12-14; 3:4-8; Romans 10:8-9; Ephesians 2:7-9). Note that “God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (Hebrew 6:10).
5.3 WAITING TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
Although the Holy Spirit is promised to all believers, not all would receive this baptism when they receive the gospel, and may need a period of patient waiting to receive. For example, Jesus, through the Holy Ghost commanded his disciples saying they should wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father, to be baptized with the Holy Ghost. This is the power they should receive to become witnesses unto Jesus in Judea, and all the earth. (Acts 1:1-8).
The disciples obeyed and went up into an upper room, where they all continued in prayer and supplication,”. (Acts 1:13-14). While they all waited in one accord (including with the women, Mary and with Jesus’ brethren) on the day of Pentecost, a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind filled the house and “they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2: 1-4).
Ministers of God who have yet to receive the Holy Ghost would need to wait in patience on the Lord in prayer and supplication for the baptism of the Holy Ghost and expecting to receive from God as did the disciples of Jesus, according to promise. This will determine their trustworthiness toreceive.
PRAYER
Almighty God, thank you for your word and for thy Loving-kindness to all thy children.
Holy LORD, make Your face to shine upon us, and be gracious unto us your people; Gracious LORD lift up Thy countenance upon us, and give us peace.
Dear Father, put Thy name upon Your servants and Ministers and bless them with the spirit of patience and cause us to wait on your promise and for your GLORY.
Holy Spirit strengthen our prayer life to sustain our faith as we wait upon You.
May “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with [us] all. Amen”. (Numbers 26:25-27; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
I make this prayer in JESUS NAME. Have a blessed Sabbath.
Lots of Love, P. Schwartz (SOG), 17 March 2018.
