“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; Genesis 8:22). This is God’s cardinal principle that must inform our waiting and our trustworthiness. Servants of God must be aware that there are seasons and times within which God performs His word and his purposes for our life and ministries.
God has made everything beautiful in his time and has set it in our heart that no man can find out His works from the beginning to the end. Mankind is therefore engulfed in great misery because to every purpose there is time and judgment ,“[and] he knoweth not that which shall be [or] who can tell him when it shall be?”. (Ecclesiastes 3:11; 8:6-7).
However, as Ministers of Christ, “we have the mind of Christ” and the anointing of the Holy Spirit , which searches “the deep things of God” that, “we might know that are freely given to us by God”. (1 Corinthians 1:10-16). We therefore hold a wise man’s heart that can discern both time and judgment. when we wait patiently on him (Ecclesiastes 8:5). Although we must also accept that with respect to certain matters. “It is not for [us] to know “the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. (Acts 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2).
