INTRODUCTION
The previous message on the trait of ‘spiritual maturity in the ways of God’ illustrated ways in which ministers could develop spiritually to gain service trustworthiness. These especially include perceiving God’s ways in obedience, the importance of knowledge and of Jesus Christ and the “divine nature”, and the role of temptation and overcoming.
This message concludes the series on “The Trust of God” by examining the final trait for service trustworthiness which is Patience in Waiting on God. It is common in relationships for people to trust that others would do what they promise and in this faith, would patiently wait for them in hope that they would fulfill their word or the commitment.
So too, God also does require His Ministers to trust and wait on him in patience for everything, including to fulfill His own promises to us, the promises of others, our own desires and to meet our expectations. We examine this trait of patient waiting on God by focusing on His faithfulness, seeking His help and power, waiting on His seasons and time, the role of Prayer and waiting for God’s Glory including the promise of salvation.
