Brethren, even though you may struggle with conflicts between your spirit and the fleshly lusts, you must not relent or give up on the word and grace of God; but live by faith and persevere to do His will, and repent for every weakness.
For if those who having been redeemed from spiritual blindness, and have tasted the “heavenly gift” the Holy Ghost, and the ” word of God” should fall away from the faith, it would be “impossible” to renew them again unto repentance. This is because they not only crucify the Son of God afresh, but also put him to open shame. (Hebrew 6:4-8).
Therefore, people of God, in spite of any fleshly conflicts, have patience “that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise”. Be “not of them who draw back unto perdition; but [rather be] of them that believe to the saving of the soul” (Hebrew 10:36-39).
Next week we will conclude this series by examining the aspect of trustworthiness to receive the service anointing in order to fulfill the purpose and work of God.
PRAYER
Almighty God, thank you for your word and for thy faithfulness to all thy children.
Dear Father, we pray that you touch the hearts of our brethren who are yet to receive your gift of salvation and lead them to your grace in Jesus Christ. Deliver them from the power of darkness unto your light.
Holy Lord, deliver your faithful children from the fleshly lusts that keep them from enjoying the fullness of the things you have prepared for them in Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit, Power of God, I commit them to your guidance and teaching; and to the nurturing of your fruit of the Spirit, toward spiritual maturity.
I make this prayer in JESUS NAME. Have a Sabbath of Peace.
Lots of Love, P. Schwartz (SOG), 27 January 2018.
