All who trust and hope in the lord are blessed and He will keep them in perfect peace whose mind are focussed on Him. (Psalm 84:12; 40:4; 146:5; 34:8; Isaiah 26:3-4; Proverbs 16:20). Those who trust in the Lord shall enjoy His protection day and night and the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon them. They shall dwell under the shadow of the almighty and they hide under His wings and “in the secret of His tabernacle” safe from trouble, terror and pestilence (Psalm 27:5; 91:1-6; 121:5-8; 125:1-3).
He will give them grace and glory; they shall not want or lack, nor will the Lord withhold any good thing from them. (Psalm 23:1-3; and 84:11). They shall be delivered from the distress of their enemies and overrun them (Psalm 18:1-3 & 27-30). Believers in trust shall “be as a tree that is planted by the waters that spreadeth out her roots by the river” (Jeremiah 17:7-8; Psalm 1:3)
Also those that wait on Him shall be assured of His sustaining grace and the provision of the Lord. His grace shall be sufficient for you and His strength shall be made perfect in your weakness. You shall prosper, flourish, and yield fruits even in the heat and drought of challenges (Jeremiah 17:7-8; 2 Corinthians 12:9)
Next week we will examine Gods expectation of the trust that believers must have in order for him to trust us with the good things he holds for those that trust in him. The message will seek to demonstrate that the more God can trust us the more He will open into our hearts and reveal Himself, His secrets and bring us into his sacred place, His gifts that he has prepared for us.
PRAYER
Almighty God, thank you for your word and for thy love and faithfulness to all thy children.
Dear Lord help us to trust in your grace and mercies towards us, and in thy judgement that you know all our needs and will afford us in due season according to your goodness.
Holy Father grant thy people courage as they wait on you. Help them Holy Spirit to build character of trustworthiness and to hope in your strength and salvation. Gracious Spirit, renew their strength; mount them up with wings as eagles; let them not be weary in their running towards your ways; Let them not faint as they walk in the footsteps of Christ Jesus through temptation and tribulation until they overcome the ‘snare of the fowler’.
I make this prayer in JESUS NAME. Have a Sabbath of Patience and Peace.
Lots of Love, P. Schwartz (SOG), 06 January 2018
