INTRODUCTION
This weekend we commemorate in solemnity and gratitude the work that God has done for mankind through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to deliver us from the bondage of sin. God’s redemptive sacrifice is symbolized in the deliverance of God’s people from bondage in Egypt by the blood of the Passover Lamb, which brought death to the ‘Egyptians’ but life to God’s people. (Exodus 12;12-17 & 29-37).
As Jews, Christians and God’s people of other faiths participate in the holy commemorations or festive holidays, I want us to reflect on’ God’s Love as sacrifice’. To understand the purpose of God’s Will in His sacrifice will bring us closer in love with God and Christ and ultimately with each other.
