CHRISTMAS MESSAGE: “The Grace of Light”

My People of God, may the blessings of Christmas, which is God’s eternal Grace of light over darkness in this world be upon you.

It may seem like dark as the world struggles with the Covid 19 pandemic and the havoc ricked upon many. Yet, from a grateful heart let us give praise and thanks unto the Almighty God for He is good and his mercies endures forever. (Psalm 107:1; 136:1).

Especially, we should praise God for His love, demonstrated in the gift of Jesus Christ, His son, by whom light came into a dark world, to give mankind hope in God’s eternal grace and mercies in all things.

For through Jesus Christ, the Messiah, God has ordained salvation and righteousness for His people; and he was also to be “for a light of the Gentiles” unto the ends of the earth (Isaiah 42:6; Acts 13:47).

Jesus declares, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness” and also, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”. (John 8:12; 12:46; Isaiah 60:1).

Brethren, “In [Jesus] was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not … That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world”. (John 1:4-5, 9).

The ‘life’ of Christ i.e. God’s Spirit revealed in human form (as life), was the light that should bring people to knowledge of the spirituality of God. It provides believers with a name by which to know the Almighty God; and by which we may present our requests unto God. (John 14:13-14; Exodus 6:3 & 3:14; Isaiah 52:6). In other words, the ‘grace of light’ through the life of Jesus, provides the means by which sinful man could live for God and serve Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).

Thus, because of the ‘Grace of Light’, the people that walk in darkness and those that “dwell in the land of the shadow of death” will be saved; and the Lord’s “light and salvation” will guide your feet into the way of peace in this world and from all adversities. (Isaiah 9:2; Matthew 4:16; Luke 1:77-79; Psalm 27:1).

Therefore, no matter your circumstances or situation, believe in God’s ‘Grace of Light’, and trust in his almighty power to dispense grace sufficient to meet all your needs. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

The Great Father of Lights, will shine upon your hearts and keep you in His light and favour; and grant you a blessed season filled with hope, love and peace.

May the instruments of His power in the ‘Grace of  light’ which are faith, love, goodness, truth, righteousness, kindness, self-control,  gentleness, forgiveness, compassion, humility and peace, abound in you and your families  as you celebrate  or reflect on the works of God.

(Galatians 5:23-24; 1 Corinthians 13:4; Colossians 3:12; 1 Peter 5:5-6; James 4:6-7).

I make this prayer in JESUS NAME.

Lots of Love, P. Schwartz (SOG) 25th December, 2020.
