The Almighty God cannot lie nor alter the word that came from his lips! (Psalm 33:4; 89:34; Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Hebrew 6:18; Titus 1:2). He is a SPIRIT”! (John 4:24; Genesis 1:2). From the inception of mankind, God’s desire is that there should be mutuality of trust and a relationship in truth between man and God. (Genesis 9:8-17; and 17:2-8). In His faithfulness, God created Adam and Eve in his image and likeness and gave them dominion overall his creation on the earth. (Genesis 1:26-28 &31; 5:1-2). “The Spirit of God hath made [man], and the breath of the Almighty hath given [man] life”. (Job 33:4; Genesis 2:7).
God placed man, in a special garden with three kinds of trees -: a “tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food”; “the tree of life”; and “the tree of knowledge of good and evil”. He commanded that he may eat freely of every tree of the garden apart from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil”, which if he eats, he shall “surely die”. (Genesis: 2:8-9; 2:16-17).
