INTRODUCTION
The previous message examined trustworthiness with respect to the service anointing to fulfill the purpose of God, as opposed to the ‘personality anointing’. It illustrated the service anointing with various examples and described the spiritual gifts that God has ordained for those who undertake services for his purpose.
This message commences the second part of the service anointing. It looks at the traits that ensure the trustworthiness of people who are in the service of God. It focuses particularly on the trait of faithfulness to ‘mission’, i.e. faithfulness to God’s word, His promises and purposes. It illustrates this trait through the criteria of trusting in God’s discretion and power and in His Holy Spirit. We examine these conditions in relation to the examples of the service anointing that were identified last week.
