INTRODUCTION
This message concludes the series on biblical expressions of faith. The series commenced with setting the context of faith and identified four categories including a general Godly faith, religious faith, the gift of faith for salvation and the Spirit of faith. Upon these faith distinctions, the series covers faith expressions involving faith relationship with God, faith in challenge, “belief” in faith, faith by works, negotiated faith, relational faith, and humble faith.
Each category of expression also includes suggestion on the types of situations in which the faith could apply. It provides further analysis on the operation of the respective faith and guidance on how one could develop their faith in practice.
In this final message we examine “Humble Faith involving the cleansed Leper who glorifies God, the Canaanite Woman who seeks the fallen crumbs from the Master’s table, and the Penitent Thief who Jesus saves on the cross. The principles deriving from the expressions are that: Humble Faith cries out for mercy; it perseveres; it inspires testimony of Jesus’ works over the law; it brings outcasts under the grace of Jesus Christ; and works repentance unto salvation.
