INTRODUCTION
The previous message introduces biblical contexts of Faith, namely general Godly faith, religious faith, the gift of faith for salvation and spiritual faith. We continue the series examining selected biblical expressions of faith in seven categories namely faith relationship with God, faith in challenge, ‘belief’ in faith, faith by works, negotiated faith, relational faith, and humble faith.
This message looks at Faith Relationship with God as expressed by Job, Abraham, and Mary (mother of Jesus). We study Job’s fear of God and affliction, Abraham forsaking all for the love of God and Mary submitting her Life for the life of God’s son.
It also provides insight into the operation of the faith in God and guidance on how one can develop or strengthen faith in practice including on the sufficiency of faith, resolving doubts, change, and ‘cost’ in faith relationship with God.
